by Q: What are your thoughts on ball position
Q: I've read them all; Hogan, Thomson, Toski & Flick, Ballard, Leadbetter
and more. Without practice none of them work, that's a given. There is
some real differences of opinion among these teachers. Ball position, left side dominance, right side dominance are two. These are extremely important fundamentals, correct? What are your thoughts on ball position, firing the right side and the other basics that these guys disagree on? Thank you.
- Mike, GA
A: Dear Mike,
I feel that all great teachers are basically teaching the same thing. The
difference is that they are each saying it a little bit differently. It can be really confusing looking at all the different teachers and that is why I recommend sticking to only one person. Find the instructor that works for you and stick with him. Don't try to do one thing from Ballard and Leadbetter and Toski etc... It will only confuse you.
I feel that a good golf swing has perfect balance, a grip that hits
consistent shots, good posture and alignment and a confident attitude.
